What a game. Both teams turned up with a game plan and put on a great show for the 28,000 fans that turned up for this epic cup game.

The game started with the Squeakers kicking to the Immortals. The Squeakers had called in a fellow Clan Rat to help with this game in the form of the giant Rat Ogre, Headsplitter. He lined up against the new Immortals front line of Amosis, Tuthmosis and Caistrus. Amosis tried to land a massive hit on Headsplitter, missing completely knocking himself to the floor. In a bizzre twist as he hit the floor his helmet flew off knocking out Headsplitter! The Immortals then slowly pushed the ball forward knocking out and stunning any Rats that got in the way. Scoring just before the end of the first half.

The half time team talk given by Immortal Rose must have been a amazing! The Squeakers came out fie=red up and ready to rumble. The Immortals kick was high and was caught by the massive Rat Ogre, Headsplitter. Game on!

The Sqeakers took the game to the Immortals, dodging and running rings around the slower Immortals side. Keeping the ball and running the clock down the Sqeakers had waited to make the big play. Immortals Mummys were both out of the game being unable to catch any of the Sqeakers players. "If you cant catch us you cant block us" Nibbles was heard to shout.

With the Immortals now run ragged and split over the four corners of the pitch, The Sqeakers made the big play...................and dropped the ball!!!!!! The Goddess of luck was again on the side of Odysseus who caught the scatter. (Sqeakers players were heard yelling at the ref that the ball had been tampered with). Immortals players caged up to protect thier ball carrier from Headsplitter. Just before the final whistle went Odysseus ran in for a VERR VERY flattering 2 - 0 scoreline.

Even with the lack of casualties this was a great game. Very closely run with the Squeakers playing a great dodge and run game.

This was always going to be a violent game, but with two heavily armoured teams very few injuries resulted. There were also a few errors in judgement made during the match. The first came when Bullbelimar was removed from the field with a suspected KO only for the coach to realise that his thick skulled minotaur was just stunned. On the TT drive the first injury was actually the result of a crushing and cruel block by Blossom on Mantas-Ra. A further KO for TT and one for GS resulted in GS attempting to surround the ball (3 TT players pulled out of position) with TT badly outnumbered. A fortunate hole was found and a breakaway insued by Rabdos the Strangler who despite efforts to stop him made it up the pitch to score. There was not much time left in the first half for a counter drive and the return drive petered out. The GS return drive was dogged by misfortune. Their most agile player struggled on simply picking up the ball allowing for TT to close. Dodging became difficult as first Daffodil became badly hurt and Alu Ra is rumoured to be missing the next game due to dodging. A big blow happened when Modeus seemingly suicidily attacked ripper on his own. The result was a KO and surprisingly it was for Ripper. A further injury was caused when Foxglove fell (was pushed) into the crowd. With a maul between black orcs, chaos warriors and beastman in the centre GS tried to move the ball down the side of the field. Unfortunately for GS the drive was halted and TT pushed a GS player into the crowd who stunned the player. The ball thrown by the crowd fell in a place of opportunity that either team could have exploited, but TT were to move first and picked up the ball and sent a hail mary pass down the field by Mania-Ra. Mania-Ra was the player to fully spoil GS dreams in the cup when with little time to go GS attempted to send a long bomb up field to tie the game. There was as little chance for either an interception or a completed pass, but a catch would almost certainly have resulted in a touchdown. The interception and resulting hail mary pass back up the field effectively ended the game. This left the GS coach to rue not the tactics but his team's fortune in carrying them off on the day.

Team captain Tuthmosis III was quoted as saying "this is going to be a tough game for me and the boys. Those pesky rats are fast and we are not known for our speed. We had a team talk yesterday during training and we are going for a different play style tonight. We are going to take it steady, lock down and watch the gaps. Those rats are so tricky!

We would be happy with a 1 - 0 win and no casualties. We have a massive game coming up against the Hammers who may well hire Zara the Slayer."

The game started with the Immortals kicking high to Da Firm. Da Firm caged up and ground forward. The Immortals left a large gap to lure Da Firm into, but those Orcs were having none of it and ground their way slow ... [more]

The game started with the Immortals kicking high to Da Firm. Da Firm caged up and ground forward. The Immortals left a large gap to lure Da Firm into, but those Orcs were having none of it and ground their way slowly forward. Scrappa Sorehead found himself a target for most of the Immortals players. He soon found himself in the KO room. A last ditch blitz from the Immortals to stop Da Firm ended in stalemate. Stanley Morris ran it in to give both teams a break as the KO rooms were filling up fast. 1 - 0 Da Firm.

The Immortals caged up. But Da Firm were wise to this and found they had the opportunity to change thier defence. A huge brawl errupted. The Immortals held the line with Amosis and Tuthmosis smashing a hole for Odysseus to blitz through. 1 - 1.

Both teams came out knowing that a draw was no good. Just before kick off a rock was thrown and a huge gap was opened up as Murdhor hit the deck (was this the same rock thrower that seems to be stalking Da Firm).

The Immortals take full advantage and burst through. During the blitz Scrappa Sorehead was rushed off with a broken jaw.The Immortals ground the clock down as long as they could. Da Firm tracked back and forced the Immortals to score. 1 - 2

The teams faced off with only miniutes left on the clock. The ball was kicked high giving the Immortals enough time to reorganise thier defence. Odysseus burst through and blitzed the ball carrier, a massive stroke of luck now went the Immortals way. The ball scattered straight in to Odysseus hands allowing him to score a third. This was a tough game and the scoreline flattered the Immortals.

His first was on "Thieving Git" Snikki Fungusfinda of Millwall Headhunters. This was duly claimed by Mulligan of The Big Red Gobbos, and so the 5K bounty now passes onto his head - WAR On Tour are putting 5,000g up for grabs to the first person who can knock out Mulligan (or do worse).
